Safeguarding Policy

Our commitment. Kirsty’s Tuition is committed to safeguarding and promoting the wellbeing of every child and vulnerable adult we work with, and expects every tutor to share that commitment.

Tutor vetting. As a minimum standard, every tutor is DBS-checked, personally interviewed by founder Kirsty Owen, and confirmed as suitably qualified and experienced before working with students.

Lesson conduct. All lessons take place online. Tutors are expected to maintain a professional environment, keep communication with students appropriate and on-topic, and raise any concerns about a student’s welfare immediately.

Raising a concern. If you have a safeguarding concern about a tutor or a lesson, please contact us straight away at [email protected]. All concerns are taken seriously and handled promptly and confidentially.

Parental involvement. Parents and guardians of under-18 students are welcome to be present during online lessons and are kept informed of their child’s progress.
